Trail Mix Raw Energy Bites

These plant-based no-bake protein-packed energy bites made with your favorite trail mix couldn’t be easier to make. Everything comes together in a matter of minutes and lasts for months when kept frozen in the fridge. But good luck having them last more than a couple days…they’re delicious! Eat for a quick and healthy recovery snack, breakfast and dessert.

Instructions:

  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, chia seeds, cinnamon, salt, peanut butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix and combine ingredients with large spoon. Stop and scrape the sides of the bowl if necessary.

  • Stir in your favorite trail mix. If you want the nuts to be smaller, you can chop the nuts inthe trail mix before stirring the trail mix into the mixture.

  • Using a measuring spoon, roll the mixture into small balls, about 1-2 tablespoons per ball. Place in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks. You can also freeze the energy balls for up to 3 months.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups old fashioned oats

  • 1.5 cups of your favorite trail mix

  • 1 cup peanut butter

  • 4 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 4 tablespoons maple sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch sea salt
